Shame as social distancing advocate Funke Akindele and hubby plead guilty to flouting order

Nollywood Actress Funke Akindele-Bello and her hubby, Abdulrasheed Bello aka JJC Skillz, have pleaded guilty to the one count charge of defiling the orders of the Lagos state government on public gatherings and social distancing.

The couple were arraigned on Monday morning April 6, before a Chief Magistrate court in Ogba by the Lagos State Government and the state police command for the alleged violation of the lockdown order to check the spread of coronavirus. The charge was filed by the  Attorney General of Lagos State, Moyosore Onigbanjo.

Funke an JJC were arrested for holding a house party in their Amen estate home on Saturday April 4 despite the restriction in movement and social distancing order issued by the state government as part of measures to curb the spread of Coronavirus in the state.

Akindele and her husband both pleaded guilty after the charge were read to them. The magistrate is being awaited to deliver her verdict.
