Delta State records eight new coronavirus cases

Nigeria - Delta has recorded eight new cases of coronavirus.



Among the new cases are two doctors, two nurses and other medical personnel that had contact with Delta index female cases.


Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, announced this on Friday.
It brings the total confirmed cases in the state to 17.
The infected medical personnel, who had immediately quarantined themselves on learning the status of the female patient, are members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
Other persons said to have had contact with the female patient, who denied her positive status in a viral audio, are also among the new cases.
With two cases discharged and two deaths, Delta has 13 active cases undergoing treatment at the various treatment centres across the state.
